INTERNAL MEDICINE – ALLOPATHIC

Landing Internal Medicine

Overview

The Wright Center offers an ACGME-accredited, three-year Internal Medicine residency. Founded in 1976 by our namesake, Robert Wright, M.D., the Internal Medicine residency can be considered The Wright Center’s original specialty program.

The Internal Medicine inaugural class hosted six resident physicians. Today, we welcome more than 20 residents each year — made possible by our ever-expanding community partnerships and HRSA’s Teaching Health Center grant, which was awarded to The Wright Center in 2011.

Leadership

The program is led by Linda Thomas-Hemak, M.D., and is designed to prepare residents to serve as primary care physicians.
