Landing Internal Medicine

Within Northeast Pennsylvania, our Internal Medicine Osteopathic program, led by Dr. Timothy Burke, is far along in application preparation with planned submission for the Single Accreditation System before December 2017.

Our Internal Medicine Osteopathic residents train side by side with our Internal Medicine Allopathic learners. Our program places residents in diverse, innovative learning environments, including community-based hospitals, FQHCs, regional public health-based settings, behavioral health clinics and specialty practices. Many faculty members in this robust program completed their own residency training with The Wright Center.

As you know, the AOA will no longer be accrediting programs after June 2020 in order to evolve a collaborative and unifying Single Accreditation System (SAS) for America under the able stewardship of the ACGME. The Wright Center is proud to be amongst many GME sponsoring institutions committing resources and avidly working on preserving all of our currently operational residency and fellowship training programs. We value all of our trainees as core testaments of our mission to continuously improve education and patient care in a collaborative spirit to enhance outcomes, access and affordability. The Wright Center currently offers robust Osteopathic Regional and National Family Medicine Residency training opportunities.
