As an integral component of The Wright Center’s patient engagement initiative, the Patient Engagement Council (PEC) was founded in March of 2016 to support the partnership between patients and their healthcare providers. The PEC is focused on patient education, patient education and patient advocacy and was founded on the belief that patients are the number one stakeholders in their healthcare.
To kick off their public efforts, the PEC will be hosting a Caring Hearts Panel Discussion and Dinner on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Genetti’s, Dickson City. The night will consist of a panel discussion led by Dr. Linda Thomas-Hemak, President and CEO of The Wright Center; Dr. Lear Von Koch; Dr. Dipti Pancholy; and Dr. Samir Pancholy. the panel discussion will begin at 4pm, followed by a cocktail hour with a cash bar at 5:30pm. The evening will culminate with a buffet dinner. All community members are encouraged to attend; the cost is $20 per person. Please contact Colleen Reese at 570.591.5180 to reserve your spot.
The PEC also engages patient volunteers who serve as links not only to current Wright Center patients, but also to those outside of the organization who may be searching for a primary care provider and other healthcare services.
