William Waters, PhD, brings the perspective of an educator and patient to the boardroom. He currently serves as secretary of the Community Health Hub and as treasurer of the Patient Engagement Council. Dr. Waters served for 31 years in New Jersey’s education system as a mathematics teacher, supervisor, assistant principal and district director of instruction. He also was the founding director of The Academy for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering at Morris Hills High School, a highly ranked county magnet school. Dr. Waters has presented on topics such as strategic planning and professional development at the local, state and national levels. He has been a patient at The Wright Center for Community Health for over 15 years.
In retirement, Dr. Waters lives at Lake Winola and enjoys all that life at the lake has to offer. He has become active in St. Mary of the Lake Parish, serving as a lector, greeter secretary of the Parish Council and chair of the worship committee. He also holds a certificate in pastoral technology and serves as coordinator of the parish’s Digital Disciple Ministry.
