Viren Raheja, M.D., serves as chief resident liaison for The Wright Center for Patient and Community Engagement Board.
Dr. Raheja became a physician with a goal to educate patients in a way that enables them to take control of their health, and to be able to live healthier and happier lives. During his medical school tenure, he enrolled in multiple outreach programs and also worked as a medical advisor to one of the biggest health care start-ups in his country, India.
Using animations and cartoons, Dr. Raheja uses social media platforms to promote healthy living, especially the various ways to screen for preventable diseases, and to encourage lifestyle modifications in the management of chronic illness. He has a keen interest in patient-centered care and clinical informatics.
