About

Kevin A. Perneta, MBA, is the vice president and chief compliance officer (CCO) of The Wright Centers for Community Health and Graduate Medical Education.

He is responsible for the direct planning and oversight of activities in the compliance department, including the development and implementation of an effective compliance program that mitigates risks, promotes integrity, and enhances readiness for various insurance and accreditation audits and site visits. Perneta also provides strategic guidance to the executive management team by monitoring and reporting results of compliance activities, assessments, and ethics performance of the enterprise and recommends risk mitigation strategies.

Perneta has almost 30 years of experience working at institutions of higher education, specializing in regulatory, accreditation, government relations, planning, and operations management. At Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, he served as the chief compliance officer and accreditation liaison officer. In addition, Perneta was the director of compliance for the Empire Education Group in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, for 16 years, and worked for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency’s legal services and loan assets management divisions for nearly a decade.

Perneta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and an MBA from Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania.
