Meet Dr. Tony AbdelMaseeh: Pediatrician, The Wright Center for Primary Care Mid Valley
Originally from Cairo, Dr. Tony AbdelMaseeh was drawn to medicine because of his desire to help others. He attended the University of Cairo, Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, New York. Throughout medical school, Dr. AbdelMaseeh shares that he learned the importance of hard work. He enjoys working in children’s health, and has served as a volunteer educator through the Family Heath Challenge Program with third graders at Public School 18. He extends this passion for kids through his job as a pediatrician.
At The Wright Center…
Dr. AbdelMaseeh chose The Wright Center due to its focus on education. He says that the most rewarding part of his job is working with the team at The Wright Center for Primary Care Mid Valley. He adds there have been no major challenges in his first few months and prefers to focus on the current aspects of his job instead of constantly looking to the future. His best health tip is simply to “stay healthy,” thus encouraging patients to make health a top priority in their lives.
When He’s Not At Work…
Dr. AbdelMaseeh enjoys jogging, calisthenics and reading biographies. He also speaks Arabic, his native language, and English, and is working on learning Spanish. Something people may not know about him? “I am originally from Egypt,” Dr. AbdelMaseeh shares.
