Faculty, National Family Medicine Residency
Darlene Lawrence, MD, FAAFP is a board-certified family physician and also faculty within The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education’s National Family Medicine Residency in Washington, D.C. After years of private, group and solo practice, Dr. Lawrence successfully transitioned into academic medicine alongside community medicine and is also an associate clinical professor of family medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Dr. Lawrence is a mentor to learners at all levels, as an ex-officio board member of the Comprehensive Medical Mentorship Program, a preceptor for the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine at Unity Health Care, Inc., and as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, her church, local food banks and other service organizations. When you find Dr. Lawrence sitting, she will be crafting for one of her kids’ special events.
