Faculty, National Family Medicine Residency
Darlene Lawrence, MD, FAAFP is a board-certified family physician, core faculty member within The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education’s National Family Medicine Residency in Washington, D.C. and Associate Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Lawrence provided full-service family medicine, including obstetrics for more than twenty-five years. She now teaches family medicine residents and upper-level medical students at Parkside Health Center. Dr. Lawrence is a member of the AAFP Commission on the Health of the Public and Science, a liaison to the ACOG Committee on Adolescent Health, and a member of the Department of Health and Human Services’ SAMHSA Workgroup on Prevention, Screening, and Treatment of Adolescent Suicide.
When not supporting her children at the D.C. Youth Orchestra, Cecchetti Ballet, Lacrosse, Volleyball, TaeKwondo, or Scouts, you will find Dr. Lawrence cooking or crafting for some special event on the horizon.
