Mladen Jecmenica, MD trains within The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education’s Gastroenterology Fellowship. Dr. Jecmenica was born in Montenegro and attended medical school at the University of Belgrade. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. In 2013, he joined The Wright Center for Community Health as an internal medicine specialist. For several years he also served as an Associate Program Director for The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education, a role in which he was named Teacher of the Year in 2015. In July 2018, Dr. Jecmenica became the first fellow in the three-year, ACGME accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship. When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Jecmenica enjoys traveling, hiking and running.
