Internal Medicine Resident
Talha Tariq, MD trains within The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education’s Internal Medicine Residency. He says he chose The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education because of the camaraderie he saw between current residents and the faculty’s active approach to teaching. The Scranton area also attached Dr. Tariq; he shares, “I grew up in a small town in South Africa, and it reminds me of there.” His primary area of interest is gastroenterology, and he aims to work as a community-focused gastroenterologist following residency.
Dr. Tariq was born in Multan, Pakistan and attended medical school at King Edward Medical University. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, hiking and watching Quentin Tarantino movies.
