Family Medicine Resident
Xuan-Loc Nguyen, DO is a resident within The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education’s National Family Medicine Residency. He trains at HealthSource of Ohio in New Richmond, OH.A former OB-GYN resident, Dr. Nguyen decided he wanted to practice a branch of medicine with a more comprehensive community of care. He says his prior experience at A.T. Still University prepared him well for The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education’s consortium model, and he enjoys practicing in an area where he has family close by. In his first year, he was peer-elected a Resident Leader. In January 2019, he was one of 12 residents nationwide selected to serve on the ACOFP Resident Council, and he now serves as the chair of the council’s Social Media Committee. In addition, he is a delegate for the state of Ohio at the ACOFP House of Delegates. Following residency, he plans to practice in an underserved area and teach at a medical school. He is also interested in getting involved with healthcare policy and administration.
Dr. Nguyen was born in Rockford, IL and attended medical school at the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. In his free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys watching football. He is also a trained percussionist, and played in the University of Iowa drumline during college and taught high school band for a year.
