Dr. Esther Johnston obtained dual degrees in Animal Physiology & Neuroscience and History at the University of California, San Diego. She subsequently earned her MPH at Johns Hopkins University – Bloomberg School of Public Health and her MD from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Arizona before moving to Tanzania, where she was recognized as a Global Clinical Education Fellow through Massachusetts General Hospital as a Peace Corps Volunteer with the Global Health Service Partnership. Dr. Johnston is the Lead for the HealthPoint Family Medicine Service at MultiCare Hospital.
Her academic and clinical interests include international health and cross-cultural education, hot-spotting, and point-of-care ultrasound. Her personal interests include cooking, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, and playing with her two lovely dogs.
