Meet Jody

Jody Cordaro, a well-established executive in the environmental, construction and real estate industries, is responsible for the oversight of several major companies. Since 2000, Jody has served as president of SCE Environmental Group Inc., whose comprehensive on-site services include environmental remediation projects, disaster relief, large-scale demolition and abatement, and corporate risk assessments. Under Jody’s leadership, the group has undertaken major national projects including the management of environmental support staff for the sampling and decontamination of the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., after an anthrax attack; the post-Sept. 11 cleanup and decontamination work at Ground Zero of the World Trade Center; the largest cleanup project ever completed in the Bahamas involving a 500,000 gallon oil spill; and cleanup efforts after the BP oil disaster in the Gulf region.

Jody also directs the daily operations of Helicor Aviation LLC, an aviation charter business; Belladaro Realty, a real estate development company specializing in the acquisition and development of both standard properties and “brownfields” (previously developed land not currently in use); and Contractor Transport LLC, which assists the oil and gas industry with the safe hauling, transfer and disposal of water, fluids and waste in the Appalachian Basin region.

An alumnus of Dunmore High School and Wilkes University, Jody plays an active role in the community in which he was born and raised. In addition to his role at The Wright Center for Community Health and its affiliated entity, The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education, , he serves on the boards of trustees of Misericordia University and Wyoming Seminary. In addition, he was on the founding board – and continues to serve as treasurer – for Marley’s Mission, a non-profit organization that provides free, equine-based therapy to children who have experienced trauma. He also is an Energy Task Force member with the region’s Institute for Public Policy and Economic Development. Jody lives in Moscow with his wife, Trudy, and their three children.
