Meet Mary

Mary Sewatsky, MD, is the chief medical officer and patient safety officer at Moses Taylor Hospital. Dr. Sewatsky is also an affiliate faculty member of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and serves as secretary on the Moses Taylor Foundation Board of Directors. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, she is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Pennsylvania Chapter of ACEP.

An alumna of the Scranton-Temple Residency Program (now The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education), Dr. Sewatsky is vice chair of the Graduate Medical Education Board. She has served on other several boards of directors through the years, including The Moses Taylor Health Care System, the Rural Stroke Initiative and the Task Force on Health Care at The University of Scranton. She currently works with Northeast Regional Cancer Institute and Northeastern Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Services and volunteers at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Scranton and her parish’s Care and Concern Health Clinic in Pittston.
