Sanjay Chandragiri, MD, is the director of The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education Psychiatry Residency. He has practiced in Northeastern Pennsylvania for nearly 20 years and is dedicated to meeting the needs of the region.
Dr. Chandragiri is the inaugural director of The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education four-year Psychiatry Residency. He trains residents in both hospital and community health-based settings, including Scranton Counselling Center, Geisinger Community Medical Center and the VA Medical Center. Dr. Chandragiri is certified in psychiatry with additional certification in psychosomatic medicine and addiction medicine.
Dr. Chandragiri completed his M.B.B.S and residency at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore University before coming to the United States to complete a second residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1998. He began practicing in Carbondale, Pennsylvania and has stayed in Northeastern Pennsylvania ever since. He and his wife, Suparna, reside in Clarks Summit. His two sons, Shreyas and Sahas, are both enrolled in pre-med programs in college.
