Tasneem Khan, MD is a psychiatrist and associate program director of the Psychiatry Residency. Dr. Khan has been a practicing physician for over 20 years. Prior to joining the organization, Dr. Khan served as teaching faculty and a staff psychiatrist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, treating active duty and retired military personnel. For seven years, she also served as clinical faculty for third year medical students at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Dr. Khan has worked as a DSM-5 field trial investigator in clinical practice and as an expert on mental health awareness programs on local television several times.
Dr. Khan attended medical school at Sind Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed her internship and residency at Norristown State Hospital in Norristown, PA after which, she went on to a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. A resident of Northeastern Pennsylvania since 2000, she is married to a local physician and has two children, both attending college. In her free time, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
