Sister Maryalice Jacquinot, IHM, serves on the board’s Patient Safety and Quality Assurance Committee. She believes that efforts to promote patient safety and consistent quality will help to create care that is patient-centered, respectful and inclusive. Since July 2010, Sister Maryalice has worked as president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Center, a Scranton-based ministry that offers residential and community-based programs for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities; the center also provides maternity and family services. She previously served as president and CEO of Friends of the Poor and in various roles for employers including Marywood University, the former Marian Community Hospital in Carbondale and Maxis Health System.
Sister Maryalice is a member of the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She is a board member of Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disability, known as PAR, and previously served as a board member and president of both the Employment Opportunity Training Center and the American Cancer Society’s local chapter. She also is a former board member of the Marywood University Alumni Association.
