The Wright Center for Primary Care opened its second clinical location in Luzerne County in February 2018, solidifying its commitment to providing non-discriminatory primary care services across the region.
The Wright Center for Primary Care Old River Road, 250 Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening.
The practice, staffed by family medicine doctor Joseph Anistranski, MD, FAAFP, was previously affiliated with Commonwealth Health System’s InterMountain Medical Group. The Wright Center and InterMountain have worked together in various ways for many years and all parties were committed to ensuring this change was seamless as possible for existing patients. Along with Dr. Anistranski’s continued role as family physician, he will also serve as Wright Center faculty, educating residents and inter-professional learners.
“I’ve spent my entire career serving patients in the Wyoming Valley,” said Dr. Anistranski. “Joining The Wright Center presents a unique opportunity for me to work with our up-and-coming physicians and I’m really looking forward to that.”
Aside from our Wright Center team, ribbon-cutting attendees included The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, Senator John Yudichak’s office and Harrold’s Pharmacy.
