The Wright Center to Host 4th Annual Community Health Fair and 5K Walk/Run in Jermyn on Saturday, October 5, 2013
October 1, 2013 – Scranton, Pennsylvania – The Wright Center for Primary Care Mid Valley (5 South Washington Avenue, Jermyn 18433) is hosting its 4th Annual Community “Fall into Health” Fair and 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, October 5, 2013. The Health Fair and 5K will serve as an interactive and engaging community-wide event to increase health awareness through education and prevention.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m and the 5K race starts at 10 a.m. The 5K Walk/Run will start at the Mid Valley clinic (5 S. Washington Ave., Jermyn 18433) and the route will take walkers and runners through Jermyn.
All participants receive a free T-shirt. Online registration is available at: https://wrightcenter5k.eventbrite.com/
Participants can register the day of the race. Cash and check payments (no credit cards) will be accepted the day of the race and T-shirt availability may be limited.
The Community Health Fair is free and open to the public and runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mid Valley clinic. Activities at the Health Fair will include:
All proceeds from this year’s basket raffle and the 5K will benefit the local food pantry — Bread Basket of NEPA located at Christ the King Parish in Archbald.
