Laura Spadaro is vice president and chief primary care and public health policy officer for The Wright Center. She helps guide, develop and advocate for public health policies and strategies that promote overall population health through systematic efforts to advance prevention, reduce chronic disease burden, and address socioeconomic determinants of health, as well as disparities in both care access and health outcomes.

A National Health Education Honoree, Spadaro earned her bachelor’s degree in public health from Temple University. She served as a public health intern with the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and joined the Pennsylvania Department of Health as an executive intern in the Office of the Secretary in 2018, before being promoted to Executive Assistant and then Executive Advisor for former Pennsylvania Secretary of Health, Dr. Rachel Levine, and Executive Deputy Secretary, Sarah Boateng.

Durante su mandato en el Departamento de Salud de Pensilvania, asesoró en diversas iniciativas de salud pública, incluyendo soluciones innovadoras para abordar la violencia, el abuso de sustancias, la pobreza y los problemas de salud ambiental. En particular, dirigió el Programa Coordinado de Tratamiento Asistido con Medicamentos de Pensilvania (PacMAT), una iniciativa considerada un modelo de red nacional de referencia para los programas de tratamiento integral de los opiáceos.
