Dr. Banda was drawn to family medicine because of its spontaneity. “Every day is exciting,” she says. “You never know what you’re going to get!” She chose The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education because of its outpatient setting, as she had no desire to spend time in a hospital during residency. She says her goal as a physician is to get to know patients: “I love being personable, sitting next to my patients and creating that relationship.”
Dr. Banda was born in Lusaka, Zambia and attended medical school at Pacific Northwest University.
