About

Jignesh Y. Sheth, M.D., FACP, MPH, is senior vice president and chief medical and information officer at The Wright Centers for Community Health and Graduate Medical Education. He is board-certified in internal medicine and addiction medicine.

A graduate of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, India, Dr. Sheth earned his master’s degree in public health from Northern Illinois University. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency with The Wright Center (then the Scranton-Temple Residency Program) in 2009, Dr. Sheth joined the organization as a physician-faculty member.

Dr. Sheth actively promotes team-based care management and aims to cultivate an inclusive culture of learning and accountability where outcomes are prevalent. He leads population and data management initiatives to empower patients; develops tools to address risk and help patients overcome barriers to care; and prepares residents to succeed as nimble leaders in an ever-changing health care landscape. Dr. Sheth has immersed himself in electronic health records meaningful use implementation and practice transformation initiatives. Among his notable innovations was the implementation of the MinibarRx, a state-of-the-art, completely automated vaccine dispensing system, making The Wright Center the first in the state to utilize this technology.

By leading practice workflow redesign, Dr. Sheth continually ensures that patient-centeredness and quality of care remain the main focus of any clinical initiatives. He also serves as chair of the Steering Committee for Keystone Health Information Exchange.
