Kenneth Jacobs, MD

Internal Medicine Faculty

Meet Kenneth

Kenneth Jacobs, MD practiced critical care for more than 30 years at Regional Hospital of Scranton until he closed his practice in July 2016. After no longer working full time at the hospital, Dr. Jacobs was drawn to The Wright Center for Community Health because he was interested in the opportunity to train our residents and future workforce.

He has been interested in teaching since his training days at the University of Miami. “The most rewarding aspect is interacting with the residents, learning about their interests and watching them learn and grow as physicians. It has been a win-win for all of us,” he says.

Dr. Jacobs predominantly sees pulmonary patients in The Wright Center for Community Health Mid Valley’s outpatient setting. He treats the full gamut of pulmonary problems and the majority of issues he deals with are smoking-related.

Aside from his passion for teaching residents and helping patients, Dr. Jacobs enjoys gardening.
