Amelia Randich, Ph.D.

About

Amelia Randich, Ph.D., currently serves as an associate professor at The University of Scranton. She joined the university’s Biology Department in 2020, where she teaches a variety of undergraduate science courses in the molecular biosciences. Before coming to Scranton, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Missouri and as a NIH NRSA postdoctoral fellow at Indiana University. After completing bachelor’s degrees in biological chemistry and english from Grinnell College, she went on to earn her doctoral degree at the University of Chicago. 

Dr. Randich has an extensive background in research, with more than two dozen publications and presentations, many of which she worked on with undergraduate students. Her work currently focuses on evolutionary molecular microbiology.
