Krisy Elrod, Ph.D., LMFT, RPT-S™

About

Krisy Elrod, Ph.D., LMFT, RPT-S™, is an assistant professor in the Counseling and Human Services Department at the University of Scranton, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and a registered play therapist-supervisor. Her clinical and research expertise focuses on expressive arts and play therapy, medical trauma, linguistic analysis, and the training and supervision of bilingual therapists. 

After receiving a master of arts in professional counseling from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, she earned a doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. 

As a breast cancer survivor, Krisy is committed to advancing compassionate, community-centered care and supporting The Wright Center’s mission.
