This Basic Life Support (BLS) Renewal Course is for healthcare professionals and providers who need to renew their BLS provider status. The course provides a review of critical concepts and skills needed to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support measures.

Course highlights:
*Importance of high-quality CRP
*Performing effective chest compressions and ventilations
*Recognizing cardiac arrest
*Operating and AED (automated external defribillator)
*Managing airway obstructions
*Relieving choking in responsive and unresponsive victims
*Applying BLS skills in various settings
*Team dynamics in multi-rescuer response

The course features interactive case-based lectures, demonstrations of skills and scenarios for small group hands-on practice and testing. Participants must demonstrate competence in all required skills to receive their BLS provider renewal card, valid for two years.

To be eligible for this renewal course, participants must hold a current or recently expired BLS provider card.
