Heart health plays a vital role in overall health and well-being. Did you know heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide? To promote heart-healthy habits, we’re hosting a Pilates class with two inspiring individuals:

  • Morgan Schermerhorn – A third-year medical student at ATSU SOMA and founder of a Pilates club dedicated to making health and wellness accessible to everyone.
  • Antoinette Hemak – A junior at Scranton Preparatory School and 2025 Teen of Impact Nominee with the American Heart Association, who is passionate about heart health advocacy.

By raising awareness and promoting heart-healthy habits, we can empower individuals to take proactive steps toward their well-being.

Pilates is a versatile exercise system that improves strength, flexibility, and balance. It’s suitable for all bodies and ages and can be modified to fit the needs and abilities of each individual who practices it.
