Whole-person Wellness Blog: Learning without limits
Did you know our organization has more than 660 staff members across the country? I learn something new every day through my many interactions with colleagues, both virtually and in person, and in our communities. Our residents bring their cultures and backgrounds from all over the world; our clinical teams pioneer new ways to care for our communities; our administrative teams work diligently to find efficiencies, and our board members share their knowledge and support.
Our topic this month is one of Sanctuary’s Seven Commitments: Social learning. How do we respect each other’s ideas and share openly and receptively? This commitment encourages collaboration with one another, while learning from mistakes without shame or guilt.
Here’s an easy way to get started! Next time you walk past someone you may not know, offer a warm hello. Learning more about the people you work with could reveal something new about yourself.

Learning about ourselves helps us learn about and interact with others. I remember a few years back when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test and got the result: INFJ. I explored and connected with what that meant for me. If you’d like to know yours with an added component of identity (called the NERIS model), click here.
For our workshop on Feb. 19, from noon to 1 p.m., we will explore the history of our names and how the many roles, titles, and names we hold for ourselves shape both our identity and how we learn from one another. Keep an eye on your inbox for more information on how to join our monthly workshop.
On behalf of the Whole-Person Wellness Team, thank you!
